The New York State Department of Transportation routinely acquires Traffic Control Equipment and Signal Span Wire and Cable components in support of the traffic signal infrastructure statewide. The Department has an ongoing need to acquire the following:

• Navigation and bridge lights (LOT 17, Items A through G)
• Traffic signal and span wire cable (LOTS 23 through 43)
• Spare batteries (LOT 84, Items A through G)

Prospective bidders wishing to submit competitive pricing offers for any of the components/items identified should contact the Traffic Safety and Mobility Office for further information. At a minimum, this notice serves as the annual advertisement for competitive acquisition of these components/items during Calendar Years 2022 and 2023. Due to statutory restrictions on Procurement Lobbying, no DOT employee may disclose any “material information” related to this proposed procurement to any other person not employed by DOT prior to the public release of the actual Solicitation (IFB/RFQ). The term “material information” does not apply to ministerial matters such as the time and place and manner of submitting a bid proposal, or the anticipated release date of a Solicitation. Designated contact persons will be identified in the Solicitation document.

The New York State Department of Transportation, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally- assisted programs of the Department of Transportation and Title 23 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 200, Title VI Program and Related Statutes, as amended, issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all who respond to a written Department solicitation, request for proposal or invitation for bid that it will affirmatively insure that in any contact entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability/handicap and income status in consideration for an award.

DELIVERY LOCATIONS

The Department has multiple delivery locations statewide. Delivery will be required to one or more of the locations identified on the NYSDOT Delivery Locations list document posted to the Documents tab under each separate, subsequent advertisement. Each subsequent advertisement will separately request quotes for Lot 17, Lots 32 through 43 or Lot 84.

Each subsequent advertisement will separately specify quantities for quotes for all items included in Lot 17, Lots 23 through 43 or Lot 84.
