REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

The Orange County Water Authority (OCWA) seeks proposals from contractors to provide leak detection services A single contractor shall be retained by the OCWA to conduct the study of 300-600 on behalf of municipalities throughout Orange County, NY. See RFP document attached for specific details and submission requirements.

Project Tasks

The selected contractor(s) shall perform Leak Detection Surveys, provide updates, attend meetings, and report documentation.

Task 1 – Meetings with Municipal Officials and Water Operators

Task 2 – Leak Detection Surveys

Task 3 – Identification of Leaks

Task 4 – Weekly Progress Updates and Final Report of Findings

Project Schedule

The project will commence within 30 days of contract execution and continue until all surveys are completed, but not to exceed 6 months unless factors beyond the control of the contractor hinder progress and written permission is granted.

Proposal Evaluation and Approval

The proposals will be evaluated by OCWA staff on the task-related experience of the consultant and the cost proposals. Proposals will then be submitted to the OCWA Board of Directors on or before their next Board of Directors meeting for final review and award.

Contract

The contract will be between the contractor and the Orange County Water Authority. The Water Authority contract is similar in format and requirements as the standard Orange County Consultant Contract. See the Standard contract template document enclosed
