The Department seeks to purchase two (2) mass comparators to perform high accuracy, Echelon I mass measurements. One comparator must cover the range from over 10 grams to 100 grams and the other comparator must cover the range of over 100 grams to 1000 grams. (i.e. high grade steel, appropriate for long-lasting service life and reduction of magnetic interference), come with a durable weight indicator and a draft shield. Each comparator must have a built-in design to aid in centering mass standards, i.e. a hanging weighing pan, and a method of reducing user-introduced vibration, i.e. a motorized draft shield door.

Additionally, service and repair capability by the manufacturer must be available, for both unplanned call-outs and on a scheduled basis, without removing the equipment from the laboratory. Service and repair personnel must be factory-trained and certified mass comparator technicians, with service capability within reasonable distance (i.e. within approximately 2 hours/120 miles) from the laboratory (located at 6 Harriman Campus Road, Albany, NY 12206).

Quotes must include shipping, delivery, and set-up costs.
