The Nassau County Department of Public Works intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for construction management services in connection with the following:

Construction Management and Inspection Services

Wantagh Avenue Resurfacing

The Nassau County Department of Public Works is requesting proposals from firms to provide Professional Construction Management and Inspection Services for Nassau County Department of Public Work’s Construction Management Unit: Highway/Bridge Construction Group. These services shall include providing Resident Engineering, Office Engineering and Construction Inspection Services for resurfacing of Wantagh Avenue from Sunrise Highway to Hempstead Turnpike. The firms selected to provide these services will be awarded a 24-month Agreement with the County.

Sealed Proposals regarding this project are due on or before 3:00 P.M. on Friday, March 3, 2023 at the location specified within the RFP. No late proposals will be accepted .

Vendors doing business with Nassau County, including those responding to this solicitation, must register with the County. The Nassau County Bid Solicitation Boards are open to all registered vendors. Vendors that have not registered are able to view open solicitation opportunities, but they are not able to download solicitation documents or submit bids or proposals.

Proposals should only be submitted after careful examination of the complete RFP and its requirements. The selected firm will be required to provide proof of general and professional liability insurance in the minimum amounts of $2,000,000 in the aggregate and $1,000,000 per occurrence, respectively.

The successful Proposer will be required to comply with the requirements of Local Law No. 14-2002, “Participation by Minority Group Members and Women in Nassau County Contracts” and Local Law 2-2016, “Participation of Service-Disabled Veterans in County Contracts”. All Proposers should review the provisions of Appendix EE (included as an attachment to the RFP) which outlines the requirements of Local Law 14-2002. Technical proposals shall include information regarding the Proposers plan to comply with Local Law No. 14-2002.
