Description of Goods or Services to be Bid: MTA Construction & Development (MTA C&D) is seeking to retain the services of one (1) general engineering consultant to provide Routine Tunnel Inspection at Queens-Midtown Tunnel and Hugh L. Carey Tunnel. The work shall include the thorough inspection and examination of all Structural, Mechanical and Electrical components of the Tunnels. The goal of this project is to perform the mandated Routine Tunnel Inspection to establish and update the condition assessments, the physical and functional condition of the tunnels systems and components, update the tunnels databases, and prepare the required reports for each tunnel in accordance with the requirement of this Contract, the Authority’s policies and procedures, and NYSDOT and FHWA requirements. The Consultant must coordinate all testing with the Authority’s Engineers / Project Manager.
