CORNELL UNIVERSITY NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed bids for SUCF Project No. 161047 - RENOVATE BATHROOM FOR ACCESSIBILITY - BOYCE THOMPSON INSTITUTE will be received by Cornell University at 121 Humphreys Service Building, Ithaca, New York 14853, until 2:00PM on October 26, 2022, and then opened publicly in Room 102C of Humphreys Service Building and via zoom at:

The scope of work will include:

1. Convert a portion of a lab into an all-gender accessible toilet room, to be accessed from a corridor. The overall project goal is to install a fully ADA compliant single occupant toilet room approximately 76.8 square feet,
2. Remove a portion of the interior wall at the foyer to add an entrance into the new bathroom. Add a wall to separate the lab and bathroom and provide a chase wall for the restroom plumbing to connect to existing in basement.
3. Provide all new ADA compliant bathroom utilities and a changing table, then install finishes.
4. Tap existing supply and return air from lab to new restroom.
5. Reconfigure ceiling and lights and provide outlets.
6. Core concrete for plumbing to continue into the basement.

Bids must be accompanied by a bid security (bid bond or certified check) in the amount of 10% of total bid. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for October 10, 2022, at 11:00AM, in Room 101 of Humphreys Service Building, or via Zoom at:

Bidders may preview and purchase plans and specifications from a secure website for a non-refundable fee of $49.00 per set. Electronic access to the bid documents, including addendums, can also be obtained for a non-refundable fee of $49.00 at the requestor’s option.
