Binghamton University is posting the following Request for Information (RFI) to enter into a two-year master lease for off campus housing to support the increased demand for on-campus student housing. Currently, Binghamton University houses approximately 7,500 students. On-campus housing capacity will be increased to 7,700 beds by Fall 2024 and is expected to be at 104% occupancy in Fall 2024. The University requires an additional 150 beds to support undergraduate students, mostly first-year and transfer students, seeking a residential experience for Fall 2024-Spring 2025 and Fall 2025-Spring 2026.

The University is seeking a short-term master lease for student housing for 150 units/beds. Some units may be used to house faculty/staff moving to the area who need short-term housing. The University is seeking a complex that has dedicated housing for university students, that is secure, well lit, and easily accessible to students and staff with facilities within one mile of the Binghamton University campus. Preference will be given to facilities based upon their relative proximity to the Binghamton University main campus and ability to help support the collegiate experience.
