REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

RFP No. PW-B9000019S

The Nassau County Department of Public Works has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for professional services in connection with the following:

Verbatim Recording & Transcription Services – Nassau County Planning Commission

Nassau County, under the auspices of its Department of Public Works (NCDPW) desires to procure a firm to provide verbatim recording and transcription services for the Nassau County Planning Commission. The services to be provided by the Contractor shall consist of appearing and stenographic recording at, and transcription of, all Nassau County Planning Commission (the “Planning Commission”) meetings and Public Hearings and such other meetings and hearings as the Planning Commission requests.

Proposal submissions regarding this project are due on or before 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 16 th , 2023 at the location specified within the RFP. No late proposals will be accepted .

Vendors doing business with Nassau County, including those responding to this solicitation, must register with the County. The Nassau County Bid Solicitation Boards are open to all registered vendors. Vendors that have not registered are able to view open solicitation opportunities, but they are not able to download solicitation documents or submit bids or proposals.

Proposals should only be submitted after careful examination of the completed RFP and its requirements. The firm selected for this work will be required to provide proof of general and professional liability insurance in the minimum amounts of $2,000,000 and $1,000,000 per occurrence, respectively.

The successful Proposer shall be required to comply with the requirements of Local Law No. 14-2002, “Participation by Minority Group Members and Women in Nassau County Contracts,” and 2-2016, “Participation of Service-Disabled Veterans in County Contracts.” All Proposers should review the provisions of Appendix EE (included as an attachment to the RFP) which outlines the requirements of Local Law No. 14-2002. In accordance with Title 53, Nassau County Local Law No.14-2002, all Vendors shall submit a MWBE Utilization Plan with their Technical Proposal.
