Description: INVITATION TO BID The City of Ithaca (Project Sponsor) invites contractors to submit sealed bids for the federally funded bridge reconstruction project – Replacement of The South Albany Street Bridge over Six Mile Creek The project includes the following major items of work:
Bids will be received by the City of Ithaca at the City Controller, at 108 East Green Street, Ithaca, NY 14850 until 2:00 P.M. on December 7, 2022. Bids will be publicly opened in the 2 nd Floor Conference Room at 2:00 P.M on December 7, 2022. The Bidding and Contract Documents may be examined on or after November 15, 2022, at the City of Ithaca on-line bid page located at: http://www.cityofithaca.org/bids.aspx A certified check or cashier’s check payable to the City of Ithaca or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. The Successful Bidder shall be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, each in the amount at least equal to the Contract Amount as security for the faithful performance and payment of all Contractor’s obligations under the Contract Documents. The City of Ithaca reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or technicality in any bid in the interest of the Owner. Any bid received after the deadline will be rejected, regardless of the delivery method. The City of Ithaca is not responsible for late delivery by any carrier service. Bids may be held by the City of Ithaca for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) calendar days from the date of the Bid Opening for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating qualifications of Bidders prior to awarding the Contract. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Utilization Goal is 6% The Equal Employment Opportunity goal for Minority Participation is 1.2% and the Women Participation goal is 6.9%.
