RFP NUMBER: PW-T62465-15D

The Nassau County Department of Public Works intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for design services regarding the following project:

Traffic Management Enhancement

Nassau County Department of Public Works is soliciting proposals from firms to revitalize the signal management system for Nassau County’s Traffic Management Center in Westbury, New York.

The Firm should review the draft agreement and include any exceptions to the same on a separate form included with their fee proposal; otherwise, it is assumed the firm will enter into such Personal Services Agreement with the County without exception.

Sealed Proposals regarding this project are due on or before 3:00 P.M. on Friday, March 31, 2023 at the location specified within the RFP. No late proposals will be accepted .

Vendors doing business with Nassau County, including those responding to this solicitation, must register with the County. The Nassau County Bid Solicitation Boards are open to all registered vendors. Vendors that have not registered are able to view open solicitation opportunities, but they are not able to download solicitation documents or submit bids or proposals.

Proposals should only be submitted after careful examination of the complete RFP and its requirements. The selected firm will be required to provide proof of general and professional liability insurance in the minimum amounts of $2,000,000 in the aggregate and $1,000,000 per occurrence, respectively.

The successful Proposer will be required to comply with the requirements of Local Law No. 14-2002, “Participation by Minority Group Members and Women in Nassau County Contracts” and Local Law 2-2016, “Participation of Service-Disabled Veterans in County Contracts”. All Proposers should review the provisions of Appendix EE (included as an attachment to the RFP) which outlines the requirements of Local Law 14-2002. Technical proposals shall include information regarding the Proposers plan to comply with Local Law No. 14-2002.

All questions regarding this RFP shall be submitted by e-mail and, if deemed necessary will be clarified by addendum issued to all respondents. No questions will be answered verbally. E-mails shall be sent to the attention of Jeff Lindgren, Project Manager, Nassau County Department of Public Works at Jlindgren@nassaucountyny.gov . Proposers should submit their question(s) prior to close of business on Friday March 17, 2023. Violation of these provisions may result in immediate disqualification.
