Notice is hereby given that the County of Allegany will accept bids for the E. Hughes St. / County Road 26 Bridge over Genesee River, BIN 3330740 Phase 1, Bridge Removal. The work includes, but is not limited to, the removal of the bridge superstructure and substructures as detailed in the bridge removal plans, and temporary site restoration in advance of a bridge reconstruction project to be performed in the future.

This project is a Locally Administered Federal Aid Project.

Bids should be made in writing on the forms furnished with each set of Contract Documents. All bids must be received in separate sealed envelopes addressed to:

The envelopes should be clearly labeled with the Title of the Bid “E. HUGHES ST./COUNTY ROAD 26 BRIDGE OVER GENESEE RIVER (BIN 3330740) PHASE 1, BRIDGE REMOVAL” and Date and Time of Bid Opening and the Company Name.

Bids will be received at the above address until 3:00 PM on Thursday, December 8, 2022 , at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The official time for the receipt of bids will be the time shown on the time stamp located at the letting location.

Each Bidder shall include a bid bond, certified check, bank cashier’s check, or an irrevocable standby letter of credit from a bank subject to the conditions provided in the “IMPORTANT BIDDER INFORMATION”.

No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual bid opening.

The County of Allegany reserves the right to waive any and all informalities in or to reject any or all bids.

The Owner further reserves its right to disqualify Bidders for any material failure to comply with the “IMPORTANT BIDDER INFORMATION”.

All bids must be accompanied by a non-collusion statement in order to be considered.
