The Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) awarded a contract on a sole-source basis with Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (LMRMS) (CAGE 56232), located in Uniondale, NY, a division of Lockheed Martin

Corporation (LMCO), in order to provide the following efforts in support of the TRIDENT II Fleet Ballistic Missile

(FBM) Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Navigation (NAV) Subsystem: NAV Subsystem development, material

procurement, production, program technical engineering and fleet support. This effort is a follow-on and

inextricably linked to the efforts currently supported under Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) NAV Technical

Engineering Services (TES) contract N00030-20-C-0045. The FY 2023 contract will contain both U.S. and U.K. sponsored efforts starting in FY 2023, with certain line items periods of performance estimated through September 2023. As the design agent, LMRMS is the only known source with the requisite design background, system knowledge and operational experience relative to the TRIDENT II Navigation Subsystem capable of providing the required efforts within existing technical, cost and fleet schedule constraints. The contract will also include two option years in FY 2024 and FY2025, and an option provision to increase the level-of-effort (term) line items up to 30%.

This contract was a sole source acquisition pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1)&(4). Strategic Systems Program is the contracting activity (N00030-23-C-6045). The attached redacted J&A is posted with this award synopsis in accordance with FAR Subsection 6.305.
