DESCRIPTION: This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential qualifications of all businesses relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 334517. The Department of Veteran s Affairs is seeking all qualified business manufacturer or distributors of small business manufacturers to all the following specifications:
Requirement: The James J. Peters VA Medical Center is looking to purchase a bladder scanner to replace out of service bladder scanners. This request is a brand name or equal purchase to the BBS Revolution Bladder Scanner based on the salient characteristics below.
Contractor is to provide the following:
Bladder scanner with wireless probe
Noninvasive
Must be an 8-transducer model providing a 180-degree view of the bladder
Automatic detection of bladder regardless of patient gender, anatomy, or age
The monitor must display bladder volume
Automated Internal Self-Diagnostics and no annual maintenance or calibration required
Display console cart can remain outside the room for patients in an isolation setting preventing patient-to-patient cross contamination and eliminating the need to disinfect the cart.
No precise aiming of the probe required.
THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION. Please be advised that the Government will not pay for any information submitted under this announcement. The applicable North American Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 334517 (Irradiation Apparatus Manufacturing).
