Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) located in Upton, New York is a multipurpose research institution funded primarily by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Science. Located on the center of Long Island, New York, Brookhaven Lab brings world-class facilities and expertise to the most exciting and important questions in basic and applied science—from the birth of our universe to the sustainable energy technology of tomorrow. BNL is a federally owned property. All applicable Federal requirements for providing services and working in the capacity on a federal site will be applicable.
The Guest Services Division includes the Housing Department which manages and operates 90 units across 18 buildings in the apartment area of Brookhaven National Laboratory, one specialty house, three dormitories, and a Guest House. This area is approximately 25 acres, and the existing underground infrastructure has reached the end of its useful life. The Guest Services Division is seeking a provider for internet and phones with the option of television services.
This Request for Information is issued to seek potential service providers to provide IT solutions that are expected to last 10 years minimal without upgrades.
Responses Due: All responses to the RFI must be in electronic format and emailed to Arpan Ghimiray, Contract Specialist, at aghimiray@bnl.gov. All responses must be received no later than 5:00 PM EST on Wednesday May 17, 2023.
Responses should include the following:
1. Available service solutions (interested in Wi-Fi and/or other options)
2. Any required infrastructure
3. Installation lead time
4. Equipment life cycle duration
5. On-going maintenance needs
